Royston Sowe is working with an SME provider of complex cryogenic equipment. This company designs and manufactures valve boxes, cryostats, large Dewars (helium or liquid hydrogen) and complete cryogenic installations, including test benches and launch pads for rocket engines. Their clients include research and healthcare facilities, aerospace and energy businesses across Europe and North America.
This company offers the ability to work on cutting-edge projects in a growing space and a commitment to sustainability.
They are now seeking a Field Installation Engineer. The role will report to the General Manager of the business.
The core tasks for this job will include:
- Travelling to client sites to perform hands-on installations.
- Overseeing projects and training/guiding on-site technicians.
- Assuring system and product quality by designing testing methods.
- Testing finished product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly and installation processes.
- Preparing product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
- Complying with government regulations.
- Ensuring that equipment is operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
- Maintaining system and product database.
- Developing professional/technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
- Coordinating with other departments as required to make sure all parties are up-to-date on all developments.
Requirements:
- Experience working in technical manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of pressure vessels, compressed gas and/or cryogenics.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Degree in Physics, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- An “SME spirit”; being interested in growing with an organisation.
- Able to travel domestically and occasionally internationally overnight
- Able to speak English and French.
- This person must hold a valid Driving License and Passport.
