The Field Engineer Job Board supports The Field Engineer community
The rules of the Job Board follow those of our community.
Rules aside, there are a few things that we hope youโll do in this community.
They are:
Donโt be afraid to ask โstupid questionsโ. Someone else will learn from every question that you ask.
Be positive and constructive.
Share your challenges and wins.
Share your mistakes and subsequent learning.
Share your plans, strategies and goals.
Tell us about events that youโre planning or youโre attending.
Offer your feedback on what happens here in the community. This community belongs to all of us.
The 3 Golden Rules
As this community is for professionals, who are used to working in a professional polite way a long list of what you can and canโt do shouldnโt be necessary.
So, to keep things brief, there are three guidelines to note:
No spam
No pornography
No personal attacks or insults
If you do disagree with someoneโs opinion, remember to:
Focus on Facts
Focus on what is good in the other persons opinion
Listen
Donโt get personal โ focus on the topic not the person
Remember everyone has a right to an opinion โ Accept your differences, and agree to disagree
Your Participation Counts
Weโre all about reciprocity. Weโll help you with your plans and goals, and weโll celebrate your wins. In return we ask that you help influence the future of this community by choosing to start (and engage in) discussions that make this community and its forums and groups an interesting place to be.
Discourse provides tools that empower you to collectively identify the type of content that you want to see. Please use those tools. Here are some examples of ways that you can do that:
If You See a Problem, Flag It
If you see a Post, Forum, Group, documents, photos or any content that you think is inappropriate or breaks the site rules, please flag and report it.
If others flag it too it will be automatically hidden until the Administrator has reviewed it.
A friendly private message is sent to the author of the post, describing what happened, and letting them know that a suitable edit should be enough to un-hide the post.
Use the Like button
Fairly self-explanatoryโฆ if a member has written something interesting, please use the Like button, and even better add a comment.
