Login to Send MessageMed Sales Academy is working with a distributor of ophthalmic products in the UK & Ireland, who are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer.
The role is based in Southern England and will be responsible for the installation, upgrade, repair and preventative maintenance of Laser, Ultrasound and optical medical equipment. Working closely with other Field Service Engineers, Sales and Application Support colleagues, the Field Service Engineer will be responsible for driving customer satisfaction through service excellence.
Main Duties:
• Perform installations, on-site servicing, calibration and repairs of Laser and Ultrasound medical equipment at NHS and private hospitals.
• Maintain a service area in the South of the UK (outside this territory as and when required)
• Home based role managing PM’s (Preventative Maintenance visits) and equipment break downs in a timely manner.
• Provide accurate and detailed reports on all work carried out.
• Develop strong and productive relationships / partnerships with customers.
• Responsible for the accurate management of issued stock items.
• Provide responsive telephone / on-line support for our customers as required.
• Identifying sales leads and passing them on to the sales team.
• Occasional Trips outside of Southern England
Essential Skills Required:
• Experienced and skilled in providing comprehensive technical repair and servicing.
• Experience with Laser or Ultrasound products and experience working with optical equipment is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain confident in customer facing environments.
• Experience at being a competent service engineer, with the ability to problem solve and work using own initiative.
• Being flexible and self-motivated, with the ability to maintain and achieve service targets and deadlines.
• A team player, with the ability to also work unsupervised using their own initiative.
• An excellent communicator with the ability to deal and interact with customers effectively at all levels.
• Qualified to HNC or higher in Engineering (preferably Electronics).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Products.
